Welcome to our second newsletter! In case you missed last month’s issue, you can see the archive here.
For today, we’ve included three new stock image ideas for you:
1) Gourmet Cupcake Photography Idea:
Catherine saw a “turtle cupcake” at the grocery store. She also spotted an “owl cupcake” and started imagining photo ideas for both items.
But first, we’ll focus on the “turtle cupcake.”
Matt (Catherine’s husband) reminded our mommy about “artificial grass” at Dollarama. Ideas bounced around Catherine’s mind. She could see it – a chalkboard drawing of the sky and sun. Artificial grass would surround the front of the chalkboard sky and sun and Catherine would place the “turtle cupcake” on a small plate. The plate would sit on top of the artificial grass.
The idea? To make it look like the “turtle cupcake” was strolling through someone’s backyard.
Here is the final “turtle cupcake” image that Catherine created.
2) Graduation Photography Idea:
Next, let’s return to the “owl cupcake” that Catherine spotted at the grocery store which prompted “graduation” stock image ideas.
Since May and June are graduation months for many students, this “owl cupcake” was a “purr-fect” way to create a graduation-inspired photo. Why? Because symbolic meanings of the owl include “wisdom” and “knowledge” … characteristics that are most appropriate for a new graduate.
Also, Catherine had little “hairpiece graduation caps” that she’s never worn. They’re just neat hairpieces that Catherine found at the Dollar Tree (store) that she put aside as a future prop idea.
Now seemed to be the “purr-fect” time to use them. She edited one of the hairpiece graduation caps (so it was no longer a hairpiece) and then she placed it on top of the “owl cupcake.”
3) “Speak the Truth” Photo Idea:
“Be impeccable with your word. Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.” That “paws-itively” inspiring quote is by Don Miguel Ruiz.
Speaking the truth is important to Catherine. Integrity is important. So Catherine created her “Speak the Truth” photo to support messages about integrity, honesty, and more “paws-itive” qualities.
We hope that you find these ideas helpful as you pursue your photography projects.
We look forward to sending more stock image ideas on the 27th of next month!
